Hot topics

  • LNG -  Progressing however some complexity to install. Capture this for 2nd ship as lessons learned. No impact on sea trials but commissioning from dry-dock
  • biggest risk on delivery is not having the LNG commission. Need to handover dual fuel – as per contract
  • dry dock [REDACTED] has been moved on - risks reduced. In dry dock on Monday and out on Friday – no intention to push into weekend
  • maintenance envelopes – 3 phases – ship will get issued this on warranty and fixed but there are mitigations in place. 3-4 are still required however CalMac have been positive and proactive in coming up with solutions
  • dock trials – risk assessment indicates that  main propulsion safest- Biggest element of risk is positioning into dock mouth – there is tide pushing into rock bed and need thrusters to ensure safe docking
  • personnel - CalMac – targeting for recruitment at the end of March. Cost risk of this – need to ensure no more delays
  • trials start at end of January. Minimum staff at [REDACTED]  as minimal facilities there
  • passenger certificate needs crew who have certificate to handle LSA equipment (life rafts etc). Need a master for this (CalMac)
  • launch 802 – to be a Yard event. Warranty process needs agreed for 802 as the launch of this is only 3 months away
  • warranty - Template for CMAL and CalMac for warranty worked well

Any other business
