Items and actions

Actions from previous meeting

a021 - FMPG to meet with CMAL and CalMac for further discussions. This is ongoing (action FMPG).

a023 - the list of spares needs assessed. There will be a more final position next week regarding compartment close-out, e.g. vehicle decks etc. (action – FMPG / CMAL).

a025 - spares require to be transferred from one store to another. Other spares ordered with [REDACTED] – should be tied in to already existing lists of spares. Consumable spares (e.g. Nav and Comms) need assessment to determine if in remit of FMPG or CalMac (action – FMPG).

a026 – warranty process development – new action added to the log. The whole warranty list needs to be consolidated. Until this happens, the final list of items to be actioned during dry dock cannot be finalised for handover (action – FMPG).

Hot Topics

Delivery of Glen Sannox - successfully progressing with the commissioning programme. FMPG are content with the programme of delivery as they have enough time in the programme to meet projected milestones - target of 31 July still stands. The road to delivery will be: 08 July will see vessel take on fuel, then set to work and load testing, 19 July Owners Sea Trials, and after this the MCA Certifications. FMPG will aim to get MCA onboard earlier to assess passenger areas sooner to get ahead of schedule for operational certifications. Over a 1-2 week period, FMPG need to look at the engine rooms and mez-decks etc. and revisit all compartments to ensure everything is still working (double and triple checking everything). This all needs planned into the programme. [REDACTED] training also needs built into the programme to delivery.

Engine overhaul – this will need to be looked at to determine what can and cannot be done with a full risk assessment - a meeting is required (FMPG/CMAL).

Sea trials -  FMPG have responded officially to CMAL in regards to Sea Trials, in particular regarding fuel. In order to minimise delivery risk, further trials can be done as part of process post-handover. This will not be in breach of contract and co-ordination with CalMac will be needed for this. Ramp and clam shell doors need to be trialled as well with actual HGVs and buses etc. This will also need to be factored into the programme.

Any other business

A high-level plan to close-out all major outstanding issues and programmes needs to be formulated. A working group can be established with CalMac and FMPG/CMAL.
