Items and actions
Actions from previous meeting
a021 - FMPG have sent the list to CMAL. FMPG to meet with CMAL and CalMac for further discussions (action FMPG).
a023 - CMAL have provided another batch of OORs to review – FMPG working through these. The impact of OORs on maintenance has been looked at - CMAL and CalMac to discuss this further. CalMac is leading on this. A futher meeting to be arranged between FMPG, CalMac, and CMAL. OORs which require demonstration of e.g. pistons and liners etc. to be removed – this needs to be factored into programming. Pipe contractor to finish work before demonstrations commence. Pressure testing and flushing of the lines should be completed by contractor this week (action – FMPG / CMAL)
a025 - Electrical spares – CMAL is discussing with CalMac. [REDACTED] have provided a comprehensive list as well which is largely covered by already existing lists. All lists will be reconciled to ensure nothing is missed or double counted. Action closed and a new action opened for the spares being transferred to CalMac- a027 (action – FMPG).
a026 – Warranty process development- list is with CFO to give PO process for handling warranty. Warranty engineer for FMPG is to be looked into further and costing process figured out (a028). Cost processes for warranty needs to be discussed further – CFO will develop process and engage with CMAL (a029) (action – FMPG).
Hot Topics
LNG – contractors are working on completing the liquid / gas phases – a big team are working on this. The last of the welding tasks will be closed off this week (outer lines before the inner lines must be completed). There were several welding failures at radiographic survey due to spatial challenges and constraints on welding, LNG work remains challenging but FMPG have set targets for the contractor to complete 10 welds per day. The programme will be looked at by FMPG to ensure there is no more lost time. The results from recent testing showed pressure was dropping, due to gas expansion, and a leak on the pressure test equipment, however this has been resolved. Auxiliary engines, main engine, port side and starboard pipes have been flushed and the liquid phase will be commenced today. [REDACTED] commented that this work to complete LNG systems by handover date is challenging but achievable.
MES (marine evacuation system) - port-side system has been fully installed. Once formally signed-off, FMPG will turn the ship to install the starboard side. The cost of risk in this area has been accordingly reduced.
Painting - top coats have been completed and now the vehicle deck will be marked out.
MCA (Maritime Coastguard Agency) - MCA are due Thursday afternoon. Date still needs to be set for presentation of engineering information, which is required for handover and FMPG also need to arrange for MCA surveys to be booked in.
Delivery of Glen Sannox - at least 3 weeks required for equipping ship, MCA certifications, acceptance trials, final demonstration of all systems, and crew familiarisation. This must be factored into the programme for delivery. Engine room - signage, cleaning etc still needs to be worked on after LNG systems completed. The critical path to completion needs to be finished for the handover of the vessel – to be shared with group (action FMPG).
Stability information – provisional stability book as approved by MCA is available. Interconnection of the NAPPA system has been built into stability book. Final Inclining (prior to taking on LNG into the tanks), will finalise the stability information.
