The figure for the rail enhancement budget in CP6 at the start of the control period broken down by year and the current enhancement budget for the remainder of CP6 broken down by year.

Response

The budget for the rail regulatory Control Period 6 is to fund the operation, maintenance and renewal of the existing rail infrastructure. Rail enhancements are funded separately and the budgets during the Control Period 6 years are : 

2019/20 - £207m 

2020/21 - £207m 

2021/22 - £173m 

2022/23 - £247m 

2023/24 – £155.8m
