Next Steps
We would like to thank all respondents for taking the time to respond to this consultation. In light of the comments received, the Framework will be amended in a number of areas. The amended Fire and Rescue Framework for Scotland 2016 will be published on the Scottish Government website, and introduced to Parliament in September 2016. The Framework will be brought into effect in October by Parliamentary Order. The Framework will not include targets - instead SFRS will develop targets to support its Strategic Plan, and the comments provided on the targets during this consultation will be used to inform discussions with the SFRS as they are developed.
