Firework control zones: guidance for local authorities

Guidance which details the process local authorities should follow for designating, amending, or revoking a firework control zone within their boundaries.

EBCIP : Edinburgh Bonfire Community Improvement Partnership

F1 : Category F1 fireworks. These are typically indoor or close proximity fireworks with minimal safety distances (e.g. 1m).

F2 : Category F2 fireworks. There are outdoor fireworks with spectator safety distances of at least 8m.

F3 : Category F3 fireworks. These are outdoor fireworks with spectator safety distances of at least 25m.

F4 : Category F4 fireworks. These are for professional use only and are not sold to the general public.
