GDP first quarterly estimate 2023 Q3 (July to September)
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) statistics measure the output of the economy in Scotland. The GDP first quarterly estimate is an accredited national statistics publication for Scotland.
Output compared to the same quarter the previous year
Compared to the third quarter of 2022, Scotland’s economy is estimated to have grown by 0.4% over the year in real terms. Over the same period UK GDP grew by 0.6%.
Compared to the same quarter last year, Services have grown by 0.5%, Construction has grown by 2.5%, Production has fallen by 0.9%, and Agriculture, Forestry & Fishing has fallen by 0.5%.
