GDP First Quarterly Estimate 2024 Q2 (April to June)

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) statistics measure the output of the economy in Scotland. The GDP first quarterly estimate is an accredited national statistics publication for Scotland.


Compared to the second quarter of 2023, Scotland’s economy is estimated to have grown by 0.9% over the year in real terms. Over the same period UK GDP also grew by 0.9%.

 

Compared to the same quarter last year, Services have grown by 1.3%, Construction has fallen by 1.0%, Production has fallen by 0.1%, and Agriculture, Forestry & Fishing has fallen by 0.2%.
