Baby Box Spend in Financial Year 2016/17:

APS Group(Scotland) – Baby Box Pilot £107,634.89

This amount covers the totality of the pilot exercise (including employee costs, service management, storage and delivery) as well as the costs associated with obtaining the necessary quantities of all items.

Design Dundee Limited £6500 – Funding for Baby Box Design Competition, mentoring, prize fund and student costs

Kantar TNS £31,500 – Baby Box Development Research

MacRoberts LLP £40,620.78 – In relation to legal advice concerning procurement of Baby Boxes

Total yearly projected Baby Box related costs:

• 2017/18 - £8 million
• 2018/19 - £8.8 million
• 2019/20 - £8.8 million
• 2020/21 - £8.8 million

The value of the contract with APS Group (Scotland) is £35.3 million over the potential life of the contract (four operational years) equating to approximately £8.8 million per year. This is made up of the following costs: Baby Box contents, Distribution Centre Activity, Delivery Charges, Contract Management, Customer Contact Centre costs, Print costs, Operating Margin.
