While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The reasons why we don't have the information are explained below.
Reasons for not providing information
The Scottish Government does not have some of the information.
The Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have asked for because:
The advisory group is not being asked to consider rates relief for independent schools (in respect of recommendation 24 of the Barclay review).
Rather, the advisory group is only being asked to consider implementation of certain
other recommendations of the Barclay review, as per the implementation plan published at:
http://www.gov.scot/Topics/Government/local-government/17999/11199/BarclayImplementationPlan
Other channels of stakeholder engagement will continue to inform implementation in respect of curtailing charity relief for independent schools.
No information is held on titles or roles in respect of the advisory group.
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.
