Information requested
A list of individual, paid-for social media campaigns and audience targeting information used by the Scottish Government in each of the last five years.
To include campaign name, department/individual, audience targeting information in full, and the platform (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
Response
I have enclosed a copy of all the information you requested, in the format that you requested (this is attached as a separate Excel file).
Advertising on social media platforms is a cost-effective way of targeting Scottish Government marketing campaigns to the particular audiences amongst whom we seek to influence attitudes or change behaviour.
All campaign targeting utilizes aggregated and anonymised first-party data and is fully compliant with current Data Protection laws.
