Information requested
The total amount of funding/payments made to all union organisations including but not limited to STUC, UNISON, UNITE, Scottish Police federation and any other staff association/federation/union for Police Scotland by the Scottish Government from 2014/15 until present date.
Please break this down year on year, by Union, organisations/ associations/ federations.
Please give the title of the funding award in each instance,
The remit or purpose.
The conditions of funding/payment for each payment.
Response
Please note that the Scottish Government does not provide funding to Trades Unions in relation to Police Scotland. The information provided relates to the funding provided to Scottish Police Staff Associations and Scottish Police Diversity Staff Associations.
The information requested has been provided in the following Annexes:
Annex A – A table providing the funding to each Scottish Police Staff Association and Scottish Police Diversity Staff Association since 2014/15, up to 1 May 2018. The full name of each organisation is provided in Annex C.
Annex B – A blank standard grant offer letter for 2018/19 that sets out the terms and conditions that apply to all the associations.
Annex C – The 'Purpose of the Grant' set for each organisation under Schedule 1 of the terms and conditions.
As set out in the terms and conditions, the Grant is provided to each association under section 89 of the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012.
