Date responded: 22 August 2018

Information requested

A list of every Scottish Government building, including full addresses, with information pertaining to whether these buildings contain, or have active proposals to install, a Changing Places toilet facility in line with the British Standard 8300:2009 guidance on changing places toilets,

You also asked that the response included information relating to the date if installation (month-year) or estimated date of completion (month-year) of the Changing Places toilet facility.

Response

I enclose a list of the Scottish Government’s core buildings with full addresses. British Standard 8300:2009: was published on 27th February 2009 and recommends that Changing Places toilets should be provided in larger new public buildings and complexes for example: cultural centres, stadia, shopping centres etc. We are not required by the standard to install changing places toilets but we may look to introduce them in our larger buildings in the future.
