Details of where Kilmarnock Angling Club had a license to stock Atlantic salmon fry and the numbers/density at which they were stocked within these areas.

I enclose a copy of the information you requested.
1. 2014 – 8000 Fry. Stocking Density 1 fry per 6 square meters. See Annex for area stocked. 2017 – Progeny of 1 hen fish stocked between the top of Soames Burn E250472 N648474 and Bottom of Kingswell Burn E248539 N646372. Stocking Density unknown. 2018 – 18000 fry – Stocked between NS506486 – NS438393. Stocking density 2 fry per square meter.
2. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. Therefore we are refusing your request under the exception at regulation 10(4)(a) of the EIRs. The reasons why that exception applies are explained below.

The Scottish Government does not have the information
Under the terms of the exception at regulation 10(4)(a) of the EIRs (information not held), the Scottish Government is not required to provide information which it does not have. The Scottish Government does not have all of the information you have requested on:
Confirmed stocking density or numbers of fry stocked for 2017 because the information was not sought or provided.
This exception is subject to the ‘public interest test’. Therefore, taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exception. We have found that, on balance, the public interest lies in favour of upholding the exception. While we recognise that there may be some public interest in information about stocking density, clearly we cannot provide information which we do not hold.
