While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government has limited information to assist you. The information that we do have is attached in Annex A to this letter. You may wish to contact Historic Environment Scotland, who may be able to help you further, as they administer the distribution of funding for the historic environment through their grant schemes. The reasons why we don’t have the information are explained below.

The Act covers recorded information, not new opinions or advice, therefore I am afraid we cannot assist you. However, you may wish to address your question to the National Records of Scotland, who are responsible for the census in Scotland.
