Information requested
Any material held by the Scottish Government relating to the potential impact of Brexit upon school-level education in Scotland (NB this would also include indirect impacts upon schools such as the possible effect on recruitment to Initial Teacher Education programmes).

Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from the website(s) listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.
While our aim is to provide as much information as possible, in this instance we are unable to unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under sections 28(1), 29(1)(a), 30(b)(i), 30(b)(ii) and 36(1) of FOISA apply to that information. The reasons why these exemption(s) apply are explained in the Annex to this letter.

REASONS FOR NOT PROVIDING INFORMATION
An exemption applies
An exemption(s) under section(s) of FOISA (s.28(1), s.29(1)(a),s.30(b)(i), 30(b)(ii) and s.36(1) apply to the information you have requested. S.28(1) relates to relations within the UK, s.29(1)(a) relates to formulation or development of Scottish Government policy, s30(b)(i) relates to free and frank provision of advice, s.30(b)(ii) relates to free and franks provision of views and s.36(1) relates to confidentiality in legal proceedings.
These exemptions are not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
