Extract from Annual Engagement visit to Kelvinside Academy on 4 April 2018:

Curriculum

· Partnership with NuVu, a school based in Boston MA founded by Harvard MIT graduates. NuVu provides a curriculum based on project based learning with a focus on science, engineering. NuVu provided a summer school at KA last summer and will do so again on a larger scale this year. Plans for KA’s ‘Innovation School’ (due to begin building this summer) will be in partnership with NuVu with a teacher from the USA being based in the development. Pupils will have blocks set aside for curriculum in the innovation school in the first instance.

Priorities for improvement

· Partnership with NuVu for Scotland’s first ‘Innovation School’
