Information requested

You asked for, Geometric shapes of land that is subject to the BPS and AECS, and for each shape to be labelled with the year that the subsidy (and hence my constraint) expires.

Response

I enclose some of the information you requested. I have provided a shape file via DVD of the fields dataset with Land Parcel Identifiers (LPID), LPID boundaries and gross LPID areas.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.  The reasons why we don’t have the information are explained in the Annex to this letter.

Section 17(1) of FOISA (information not held) requires the Scottish Government to notify you if it does not have the information you requested. 

The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because AECS contract areas are not digitized by Scottish Government nor are they held as a layer in the Rural Payments and Inspections Directorate’s (RPID) Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS) or any other Geographical Information System used by any other Scottish Government directorate or agency.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
