You asked for:

'A breakdown of the funding received by the Trussell Trust in Scotland, from any Scottish government funding streams/grants or payments, since April 2016 until January 2020'.

Following our clarification request, you responded with the following:

'I wish to have the information regarding Trussell Trust in Scotland only. I would be grateful if the information regarding the funding the Trussell Trust in Scotland (including organisations within their network in Scotland) has received from the Scottish Government from April 2016 until the present day is broke down by the directorate that issued the funding'.

Response

I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested, which can be found in the attached Annex.

We have provided a breakdown of the funding received by Trussell Trust members in the years requested. However it should be noted that Scottish Government funding enables community organisations to deliver a range of approaches that support people in income crisis – this activity is not limited to food banks or to the Trussell Trust network.

Our Fair Food Fund has been progressively increased and is £3.5 million in 2019-20. Alongside food banks it supports community meals, food pantries and holiday clubs that layer access to food throughout wider activities. The Transformation element of the fund has successfully been harmonised in to the Investing in Communities Fund which has provided around £1 million funding to organisations responding to food insecurity as a primary aim this year.
