Information requested
1) The number of flights taken by Scottish Government ministers, officials and special advisers broken down by the last three financial years
2) The routes Scottish Government ministers, officials and special advisers have flown broken down by the last three financial years
3) The cost of any flights taken by Scottish government ministers, officials and special advisers broken down by the last three financial years
Response
I have assumed that all Scottish government ministers, officials and special advisers means all Core Scottish Government staff.
The answer to your question is:-
1) The number of flights taken over the last three financial years
Flights booked via Corporate Travel Management:-
2016/17 - 7947 flights
2017/18 - 8245 flights
2018/19 - 8557 flights
Flight cost claimed back via expenses and charge cards (no route details available) :-
2016/2017 – 86 flights, Total = £16,746.74
2017/2018 – 68 flights, Total = £15,483.74
2018/2019 – 90 flights, Total = £20,693.44
2 & 3) The attached document contains details of routes and costs. The total cost over the financial year for each route is shown, not individual flight costs.
