Is the Scottish Taxpayer still paying the salary of disgraced MSP Derek Mackay, is he still on the payroll?

Response

Derek Mackay resigned as a Cabinet Secretary on Wednesday 5th February 2020. Therefore, the Scottish Government no longer pay Mr Mackay a Ministerial salary.
However, Derek Mackay is still an elected MSP. If you have any queries regarding this salary, they should be directed to the Scottish Parliament using the following email address:
