Further questions regarding FOI 202000028715 - flights taken response: FOI release

Information requested

To confirm that flights were booked by corporate travel. Item 2464 on the 2018/2019 excel spreadsheet these flights to a cost of £25,170.97. Please advise the recipients of these flights & the reason for the travel.

Response

The answer to your question is that all travel listed against item 2464 in the 2018/19 excel  spreadsheet issued with the response to FOI 202000028715 was booked via Corporate Travel Management.

Under section 17 we do not hold details on the reasons for travel.
Under 38(1)(b) releasing the names of staff below the grade of Senior Civil Service would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018. This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
