Information request and response under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004
Information requested
All minutes of meetings of any thermal generation of electricity sub-Group since its setting up in 2011 and any minutes, notes and memoranda of meetings and discussions of such a Group plans going back to 2009 when its formation was envisaged and announced by the then Energy Minister, Jim Mather MSP. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes all considerations of deep-mined coal, "clean coal", carbon capture and storage (CCS) and Longannet Power Stations.
Response
The additional material within the scope of your original request which was not provided to you, are included this in the Annex.
The ’thermal generation of electricity sub-group’ continued to meet until at least March 2012 under the name ‘Thermal Generation and CCS AdvisoryGroup’. Whilst the minutes of the March 2012 meeting reference a further meeting to be held on 18 June 2012 I have been unable to find any minutes or notes relating to this in my search. In reference to the meeting held on 18 May 2010, mentioned in the 5 May 2010 minutes, it appears this was held as a breakout session at an Energy Summit and I have included the minutes from this within my response
