Scottish Government funding of organisations: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

On your website you state that you fund the following agencies;

  • Scottish Refugee Council

  • Bridges Programme

  • British Red Cross

  • Community InfoSource

  • Freedom from Torture

  • Govan Community Project

  • Maryhill Integration Network

  • Mental Health Foundation

  • Scottish Community Development Centre

  • Stirling Citizens for Sanctuary

  • The Welcoming Association

Can you detail how much money you funded each of the above organisations in the financial  year 2019 to 2020?

Response

I attach links to published information that shows how much each organisation in your list has received over the current funding round from 2017 to 2020.

https://www.gov.scot/publications/equality-national-intermediary-bodies-funding-2017-2020/

https://www.gov.scot/publications/equality-funding-pecf-2017-2020/

You will see that the Scottish Community Development Centre is not included in the list above, this is because the organisation has not received funding from Connected Communities' Division since September 2018. Their last funding was over the period January 2017 to September 2018 for the development of a community development model to support local refugee resettlement and integration. They received £29,640 over that period.

I am sorry that the website was not providing current information and we will arrange for the website to be updated to show we are not currently funding Scottish Community Development Centre.
