Information requested
From 1 September 2020 to present:
Copies of correspondence (emails, texts, minutes of calls, memos, minutes of meetings and/or otherwise) between civil servants and/or Special Advisors and/or Scottish Government Cabinet members on the timing of publishing the referendums bill.
Response
Some of the information you have requested is attached in Annex A of this letter.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, exemptions under Sections 30(b)(ii) Free and Frank Provision of Views, Section 36(1) – legal advice and 38(1)(b) (Personal Information) of FOISA applies to some of the information requested. The reasons why these exemptions apply are explained in Annex B of this letter.
