COVID-19 deaths at Ninewells Hospital: FOI release

Information requested

How many people have passed away in Ninewells hospital solely from Covid-19? As in, they were admitted into Ninewells and died due to Covid-19 only. 

I would like to know the exact figure from 1st February 2020 to 1st January 2021 of people who have died due to Covid-19 only and not any other existing or underlying issue.

The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because the Scottish Government is not responsible for statistics on death registrations. National Records of Scotland (NRS) is responsible for these statistics.

NRS publishes statistics on deaths involving coronavirus (COVID-19) at the link below. They include statistics on where COVID-19 was the underlying cause, but don't provide a breakdown for individual hospitals.
