Information requested
In your request, you asked for:
1. Full breakdown of the cost to host Euro 2020 games in Scotland.
2. Full breakdown of the cost to run the fanzones for Euro 2020.
3. Full breakdown of the money the Scottish Government made from the fanzones for Euro 2020.
4. Full breakdown of the money the Scottish Government were given from UEFA, including any sponsorships for Euro 2020.
Response
1. Full breakdown of the cost to host Euro 2020 games in Scotland.
The Glasgow Local Organising Structure (LOS), chaired by the Scottish Football Association, oversees the budget for delivery of UEFA EURO 2020 in Scotland. The Scottish Government has contributed £3.5 million to support overall running costs, with up to an additional £1 million committed subject to the final safety and security overlay.
2. Full breakdown of the cost to run the fanzones for Euro 2020.
The UEFA Euro 2020 Fan Zone in Glasgow Green was delivered by Glasgow Life and is not directly funded by the Scottish Government.
3. Full breakdown of the money the Scottish Government made from the fanzones for Euro 2020.
The Scottish Government did not make money from the Fan Zone.
4. Full breakdown of the money the Scottish Government were given from UEFA, including any sponsorships for Euro 2020.
The Scottish Government did not receive any money from UEFA for delivery of UEFA EURO 2020.
The Scottish Government does not have all the information you have asked for because the Glasgow Local Organising Structure (LOS), chaired by the Scottish Football Association, oversees the budget for delivery of UEFA EURO 2020 in Scotland and the Fan Zone in Glasgow Green was delivered by Glasgow Life and is not directly funded by the Scottish Government.
