In this statement you state that the Energy Transition Zone will be located adjacent to the new harbour.
1. As the land there at St Fittick's Park has not (yet) been rezoned and no planning permissions have been sought or approved, how can you say "will"
2. What exactly has ScotGov given £26Million for and to whom?

1. While it is our aim to provide information where possible. Under regulation 6(1)(b) of the EIRs, we do not have to give you information which is already publicly available and easily accessible to you in another form or format.
On the matter of site selection for development of the Energy Transition Zone itself, responsibility lies with regional partners including Opportunity North East (ONE), Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeen Harbour Board to follow local planning application procedures and we encourage comprehensive engagement with stakeholders to ensure the project is developed with sensitivity to the environment and local community.

On 19 June 2021, Energy and Transport Secretary Michael Matheson announced a commitment of £26 million to Energy Transition Zone Ltd (Company No. SC SC697431) via the Energy Transition Fund. The Energy Transition Zone is a major initiative to accelerate the energy sector’s transition to net-zero emissions and Scottish Government Funding will support such activities as the planning and development of the Zone, including community engagement.
