Information requested
Further to the recent announcement by the First Minister regarding the termination or cessation of this particular company, and following in from her 2017 announcement that this was to be set up might I request information as to exactly what stage the Scottish Government were at. Whether it be planning or consultation. Who was involved in said planning of consultation and the current level of costs attributed to these plans and recipients of any funding?

Strategic Outline Case
Ernst & Young LLP were invited to tender via the Crown Commercial Services Consultancy One Framework to deliver a Strategic Outline Case (SOC) for the public energy company. The consultancy project was completed and report produced:

Outline Business Case
Through CCS Framework RM3745 Bramble Hub were commissioned to deliver an Outline Business Case (OBC) for the public energy company: View Notice - Public Contracts Scotland
The consultancy work was completed and report produced.

Heat as a Service Research
A successful bid was made to ClimateXChange for research funding into “Heat as a Service as a driver to decarbonise heat and tackle climate change”. ClimateXChange then invited bids for this work. Energy Systems Catapult were commissioned to deliver the Heat as a Service (HaaS) research. The consultancy work was completed and a report produced:
