Information requested
Total costs incurred by the Scottish Land Commission from 2014 to the present day. This includes all secretariat staffing costs, daily board member fees and expenses, events, publications and office-running costs. You also asked for a record of all engagement between board members and Scottish Government Ministers and Cabinet Secretaries from 2014 to the present day.
The Scottish Land Commission was established on 1 April 2017, and so costs incurred by the Commission could only be provided from the time the Commission came into being rather than the 2014 date set out in the request.

The costs for the current financial year to date are not already reasonably accessible to you, and so are set out below:
2021 – to end of September
Total Costs: £662,000
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information on the total costs covering the periods from the start of October 2021 to date. The information on expenditure each month is sent to the Scottish Government at the beginning of the following month, and at the time of writing we have not yet received the information for the month of October. November’s information will be sent to the Scottish Government in early December. Once the accounts have been reconciled and audited they will be available from the Scottish Land Commission.
