Information requested

In each of the past 5 financial years;

1. How many bottles of wine have been bought by the Scottish Government, or by external companies on behalf of the Scottish Government as part of a contract. For each financial year please outline the total cost of each type of wine and the total number of bottles for each type of wine.

2. How many bottles of whisky have been bought by the Scottish Government, or by external companies on behalf of the Scottish Government as part of a contract. For each financial year please outline which brands of whisky were purchased and the total cost of each.

3. How many bottles of vodka have been bought by the Scottish Government, or by external companies on behalf of the Scottish Government as part of a contract. For each financial year please outline which brands of vodka were purchased and the total cost of each.

4. How many bottles of brandy have been bought by the Scottish Government, or by external companies on behalf of the Scottish Government as part of a contract. For each financial year please outline which brands of brandy were purchased and the total cost of each.

As shown in the above table 41 bottles of Matos Tinto to the value of £688.80 were bought in 2019/2020 and 8 bottles of Blanco to the value of £134.40 have been bought for Bute House in this financial year. No bottles of Whisky, Vodka or Brandy have been bought in the past 5 financial years.

The data in the above table was assembled from information provided by the Scottish Government's catering contractor Sodexo and shows spend for alcohol provided for Bute House, no purchases of Wine, Whisky, Vodka or Brandy were made by Scottish Government using the Sodexo contract during the period of your enquiry. No purchases of alcohol were made by external companies on behalf of the Scottish Government as part of a contract.
