Response
Our aim is to provide information whenever possible, however, in this instance the Scottish Government is unable to provide some of the information you have requested. This is because the Mortgage to Shared Equity (MTSE) and Mortgage to Rent (MTR) schemes are delivered as part of the Home Owner’s Support Fund (HOSF) programme and do not operate as individual schemes as suggested by your request. Each application made to HOSF is assessed on a case by case basis to determine which scheme best meets applicants’ needs based on their circumstances.
During 2019-20 and 2020-21 there were no applications processed under the MTSE scheme. The figures below relate to MTR only. Similarly, we do not record data relating to applications that fail to complete. Therefore, this is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have all of the information you have requested.
