“I want to make an FOI request to the Scottish Government about the total fee that has so far been paid by GFG Alliance companies under the 25-year guarantee entered into by the Scottish Government relating to the Lochaber hydropower plant and smelter. I also want to ask when these payments were made”
Response
The Commissioner has now issued a decision 112/2023 wherein the Commissioner has concluded that 30(c) of FOISA did not apply to the dates of payment of the Guarantee fee.
I am writing to provide you the dates of payment of the Guarantee until 29 November 2021 which were previously withheld in relation to your request and which are attached to the email.
