Scottish Public Pensions Agency (SPPA) ICT information and organogram: FOI release

Information requested

The most recent (2021 onwards) versions of the following documents, or if not available when these documents are planned to be published:

1. ICT/IM&T/IS Strategy - The IT department strategy or plans, highlights their current and future objectives.

2. ICT Org Chart- A visual document that presents the structure of the IT department, please include name and job titles. If this cannot be sent, please work towards a structure with job titles.

3. ICT Annual or Business Plan- Like the ICT strategy but is more annually focused.

4. ICT Capital Programme/budget- A document that shows financials budget on current and future projects.

Response

I include a copy of some of the information you requested.

1. ICT/IM&T/IS Strategy - The IT department strategy or plans, highlights their current and future objectives.

This is available from the SPPA website (Digital Strategy | SPPA (pensions.gov.scot)). Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from the website listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy. This document predates 2021 and is due to be updated in the 2022-23 financial year.

2. ICT Org Chart- A visual document that presents the structure of the IT department, please include name and job titles. If this cannot be sent, please work towards a structure with job titles.

Please find attached the IT organisational chart. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide the names you have requested because an exemption under section(s) s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information. The reason why that exemption applies is the SPPA does not publish names of staff members below executive team level.

3. ICT Annual or Business Plan - Like the ICT strategy but is more annually focused.

There is no current version of this document however this is due to be developed in the 2022-23 financial year. The SPPA Annual Agency Business Plan can be found at the following link: Annual Agency Business Plan - 2021/2022 | SPPA (pensions.gov.scot).

4. ICT Capital Programme/budget - A document that shows financials budget on current and future projects.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the SPPA does not have the information you have requested. This is because we only have 2022-23 budgets as published by the Scottish Government and these are available at the following link: Chapter 6 Finance and Economy - Scottish Budget 2022 to 2023 - gov.scot (www.gov.scot).
