Response
I attach a copy of some of the information you requested.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The latest available data is to the financial year 2019-20. Data for 2020-21 will be available later this year.
We do not hold information on the number of people arrested (points 1-3 and 7, 8 and 11) and charged (points 4-6, 9 and 11) for specific offences. We also do not hold data on counter allegations (points 12-13).
We do however have data on the number of people proceeded and convicted in court and I have included this in the attached excel document for the specific offences you refer to in your request, broken down by sex of the accused/offender. You may wish to contact the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) at foi@copfs.gov.uk to request data on the numbers of charges reported to them.
We do not hold data on complaints about Police Scotland (points 14-15). You may be interested to read section 5.8 of the Domestic Abuse statistics on the incidents recorded by police in Scotland 2020-21 report, published by the Scottish Government 5. Annexes - Domestic abuse: statistics recorded by the Police in Scotland - 2020/21 - gov.scot (www.gov.scot) which summarises the findings of HMICS 2020 Crime Audit (HMICS Crime Audit 2020.pdf) that quality assured a sample of reported domestic abuse incidents.
We do not hold information on Police Scotland staff learning points, suspensions or disciplinary action (points 16-17).
