Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

Information on meetings between the Scottish Government and the British Healthcare Trades Association on 8 April and 28 April 2022, including details of who attended, agenda and minutes of these meetings. You aslo asked if a return was made under the Lobby (Scotland) Act 2016 regarding these meetings.

To clarify, the meeting on 28 April was held as part of an ongoing Scottish Government consultation on draft guidance on the provision of equipment and adaptations. No formal agenda or minute was taken at this meeting, feedback from BHTA was fed into the consultation responses. For information, I have included a copy of the presentation made by Government officials at that meeting.

In response to questions 4 and 8 "Was a return made under the Lobby (Scotland) Act 2016 regarding this meeting?" Under the terms of the Lobbying Act it is for the BHTA to register any lobbying activity.

The Scottish Government does not hold this information.

An exemption under section s.38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. The information withheld includes names of Scottish Government officials and BHTA members.
