Minimum All-Tenure Housing Land Requirement (MATHLR) for National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4): EIR release

Information requested

A copy of all communication between Scottish Government and East Ayrshire Council between 22/02/2021 and 02/11/2021 which led to a proposed MATHLR for East Ayrshire of 4050. This communication may include, but is not restricted to; letters, emails, reports, calculations, attachments, spreadsheets.

East Ayrshire Council submitted two "Minimum All-Tenure Housing Land Requirement Response Template" pdf's, the first on 04/06/2021, and the 2nd on 15/09/2021. You also requested copies of the Excel Calculator files they submitted in support of both these documents.

Additional information, which is not available is attached covering communication between Scottish Government and East Ayrshire Council between 22/02/2021 and 02/11/2021 which led to a proposed MATHLR for East Ayrshire of 4050.

An exception under regulation 11(2) of the EIRs (personal information) applies to this information request because the information requested contains personal data of a third party and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018. This exception is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exception. The personal data have therefore been redacted from the attached information.
