Information requested

"Electronic copies of all communication from within the Scottish Government between ministers, special advisors, civil servants, government officials – including the First Minister’s email account, her office, and her chief of staff Colin McAllister - regarding meeting Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, and any relating to Mr Burnham’s Director of the Mayor’s Office and Political Advisor Kevin Lee.
The timeframe for this correspondence, which would include any emails, letters, WhatsApp messages, minutes of meetings and transcripts of any phone calls, is 00:01 on 25th July 2022 to 23:59 on 26th August 2022.

You have the correspondence between the government and Mr Burnham/his office, so requested that we just include all internal communication between various members of the Scottish Government."

Response

I have carried out a search of our electronic records management system and directly contacted colleagues known to be involved in the recent meeting between the First Minister and the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham. I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested with the exception that an exemption(s) under section(s) 38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to some the  information you have requested. This applies to the disclosure of personal information, and therefore names and email addresses of officials below the level of Senior Civil Service have been redacted.

All of the information we hold within the scope of your request is contained within the attachments. The email attachment begins with the main email chain and where that chain diverges, I have added the various responses at the end. I have provided two further documents that were attachments within those emails.
