Information requested
For each local authority area, a breakdown on the number of teachers employed at each SNCT salary point, Main Grade Scale, and would prefer if this were split into Primary and Secondary teachers and also into full-time and part-time staff.
Response
The answer to your question is provided in the table below provided from the 2022 Teacher Pay Data collection exercise.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The reason for this is the data is not held on the split of primary and secondary school teachers, therefore the data below presents the totals for all main grade teachers across state schools in Scotland, including primary, secondary and special schools. The data is recorded by the total number of full-time equivalent staff in each local authority at each paypoint, therefore this cannot be broken down into full-time and part-time staff, as this is accounted for already when returns are provided. The number of FTE at paypoint 1 and 2 in Orkney are suppressed to protect against the risk of disclosure of personal information.
