The following details regarding the redress scheme for abused care experienced people.

1) how many applicants are currently waiting to be allocated to a named case worker?

2)and how many of these waiting are completed applications just waiting on final checks ?

3) what is the timeframe set up for this to happen?

4) to date how many people have applied for redress?

The answer to your questions are:

In response to your first question: how many applicants are currently waiting to be allocated to a named case worker?

As of 10th May 2023, there are 208 applicants who have completed their application and await case worker allocation in order for the required verification checks to be carried out.

In response to your second question: and how many of these waiting are completed applications just waiting on final checks?

In response to your third question: what is the timeframe set up for this to happen?

As every application for redress is unique and applications progress at differing rates, it is not possible to provide projected or average timescales for each part of the redress application process.

In response to your fourth question: to date how many people have applied for redress?

As of 10th May 2023, 2361 applications for redress have been received by Scotland’s Redress Scheme.
