- All internal communication in relation to Operation Branchform.
- This should include but not be limited to all face-to-face meetings, emails, documents, instant messages, letters, call logs, etc.
- Please state who in government the communication was with - for example, any face-to-face meetings include list of all in attendance.
Response
In response to your request I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under section 35(1)(a) of FOISA (prevention or detection of crime), and section 38(1)(b) (personal information) apply to some of the information you have requested. The reasons why the exemptions apply are explained in the Annex to this letter.
Outside of FOI, for clarity, while document 1 sets out a request for briefing for the Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans for a visit to Dollar Academy, this request was subsequently withdrawn and no briefing was ultimately provided.
