Vehicles not eligible to drive into the Glasgow Low Emission Zone: EIR release

Information requested

How many vehicles does the Scottish Government have, as of today (1st June) that are not eligible to drive into the Glasgow Low Emission Zone?

That includes any vehicle owned, leased or rented by the government that does not meet the following emission standards:

  • Euro 4 for petrol vehicles
  • Euro 6 for diesel vehicles
  • Euro IV for heavy-duty petrol vehicles such as buses, coaches and HGVs
  • Euro VI for heavy-duty diesel vehicles

Please could you provide:

  • The total number of vehicles that do not comply
  • A breakdown by the type of vehicle (for example car/van/lorry/bus etc)
  • The area of government each vehicle is used in, if known.

Response

As of 1st June 2023 there were 8 vehicles on the Scottish Government fleet that were not Low Emission Zone (LEZ) compliant.
