Hydrogen Innovation Scheme costs and Cabinet discussions since 20 May 2021: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

1. The number of times that the Hydrogen Innovation Scheme has been discussed at cabinet since 20 May 2021.

2. The cost to date of the Hydrogen Innovation Scheme.

Response

The answer to your second question is that the cost to date of the Hydrogen Innovation Scheme is £2040.72 for legal advice. This is the expenditure associated with launching and administering the fund. All Hydrogen Innovation Scheme grants are paid in arrears, and will be awarded on successful completion of key project milestones. As such, no grant payments have yet been claimed.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide the information you have requested in your first question. Cabinet minutes provide a full account of decisions made but are not a verbatim record. As such it is not possible to determine with certainty the precise number of times a particular topic has been discussed at Cabinet nor when a topic was first raised at Cabinet within a particular timeframe. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) that the Scottish Government does not hold the information you have requested.
