Meetings between the Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport and SportScotland relating to swimming pools: FOI release

Information requested

1. A list of all meetings between the Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport and SportScotland relating to swimming pools
2. All correspondence relating to these aforementioned meetings
3. All materials prepared and produced related to these aforementioned meetings (agendas, minutes, briefings etc.)

Response

We interpreted the timescale that Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport was appointed, which was announced on 30 March 2023.

1 - The Minister has met with sportscotland as a regular basis - there has been three meetings to date.
A list of those meetings can be found at Ministerial engagements, travel and gifts - gov.scot (www.gov.scot) On the meetings dated 22 May 2023 and 24 July 2023, swimming pools were referenced.

2 - Our searches have not identified correspondence relating to meetings to discuss swimming pools.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) - there is no information held.

3 - We have identified briefings and minute of the meetings identified in point 1 above, I now attach copies for your information.
