Please note the following points in relation to the information provided.
You requested the actual tendered costs provided in Housing Tender Return forms for the design and construction of homes. The Housing Tender Return document only captures information in relation to the construction of homes and does not capture other costs such as design. This means the average costs provided above are only the average construction costs.
The Housing Tender Returns used for the purposes of calculating the information above are those for construction contracts which were either developments of solely social rent homes or developments containing social rent homes. Housing Tender Return forms contain information about an entire construction contract which can include a mixture of affordable tenures. When this is the case the information relating to only the social rent units can not be separated from the totals. In these cases the entire contract sum has been taken into account for the purposes of calculating the above figures.
The date used to identify the quarter that the information relates to is the date that grant was awarded in order to be consistent with other published figures.
