Women's Health Plan and Endometriosis Advisory Group meetings: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

1. To request all information held regarding the Women’s Health Plan and how this has been implemented and advised upon using a Quality Improvement (QI) method.

2. To request all information held specifically regarding endometriosis within the Women’s Health Plan and thus what steps have been taken to improve women’s health using a Quality Improvement (QI) method.

3. To request all information held regarding the Scottish Government’s Endometriosis meeting held at the end of August, and the minutes/notes taken from this meeting.

Response

1. To request all information held regarding the Women’s Health Plan and how this has been implemented and advised upon using a Quality Improvement (QI) method.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the costs of locating, retrieving and providing the information requested would exceed the upper cost limit of £600. Since the request is seeking ‘all information’ relating to the Women’s Health Plan and how the plan has been implemented, the high volume of documents within scope of the request exceeds the upper cost limit of £600. Under section 12 of FOISA public authorities are not required to comply with a request for information if the authority estimates that the cost of complying would exceed the upper cost limit, which is currently set at £600 by Regulations made under section 12.

You may, however, wish to consider reducing the scope of your request in order that the costs can be brought below £600. If you wish to do so, please specify in any new request which aspect of the Women’s Health Plan or its implementation you are interested in, you may also wish to specify a timeframe.
