Has your department ever accidentally purchased a product and later discovered it was a counterfeit/illegitimate version of a genuine product.

If yes, how long was the product in use before your department realised it was a counterfeit?
If yes, what was the product?

Response

The answer to your question is that within the Scottish Government we hold no central record of counterfeit or illegitimate transactions but after searching our records across several databases there was no record of any counterfeit or illegitimate products purchased.
