Scottish Government Properties: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

A breakdown of all properties owned or leased by The Scottish Government, the functions based at said properties, whether it is owned or leased, and the headcount based there. In addition you asked for details of locations where our employees are co-located with other agencies, and the reason for co-location, details of the function and headcount.

Response

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested in a table format. The table gives the name and location of the buildings and lists the names of the Director-general which have directorates or agencies based in those buildings. Co-location in SG buildings follows the Scottish Public Finance Manual where sharing of suitable space is expected where there is available capacity.

An exemption(s) under section(s) of FOISA 39(1) - Endangerment to health or safety - applies to the information you have requested. The provision of numbers of staff allocated to buildings, alongside already available information showing patterns of attendance, is sensitive information and creates a risk to the Health and Safety of those attending the buildings.
