I understand that the current HMCI for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was appointed on a three year contract.

1. Can you confirm when the post holders current contract expires in the next six months on 31 March 2024?

2. When will the vacancy for the above position be publicly advertised?

3. Can you confirm the job criteria for the above vacancy becoming available in April 2024?

Response

1. The current post holders contract has been extended to 31st March 2027.

2. Dates for the next round of recruitment have not been agreed.

3. The job criteria will be reviewed prior to advertising.
