Appointments of Who Regulates the Regulators: FOI release

Information requested

Copies of all communication whereby the Scottish Ministers appointed the last 4 Scottish Housing Regulators, to request total funding of the Scottish Housing Regulators covering the last 4 appointments by the Scottish Ministers, to request copies of the resignation to Scottish Ministers of any persons appointed by Scottish Ministers.

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested.

An exemption(s) under section(s) 38(1)(b)of FOISA applies to some the information you have requested. This is because parts of the documents contain personal information such as names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses.

This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.

In relation to your request for total funding covering the last 4 appointments, there were no costs for open recruitment as three of the appointments were reappointments and the fourth was an appointment of an existing member to the Deputy Chairperson.
